Motor City Cruise Fall Short After Strong 4th Quarter-12/14

The Motor City Cruise hosted the Windy City Bulls Wednesday night for the Motor City’s 16th game of the season. The Cruise came in the game with a decent start, keeping up with the Bulls for the beginning of the first quarter, but couldn’t keep up once the bulls got hot. Marko Simonovic and Carlik Jones lead the Bulls to a 110-99 win in Detroit.

With a strong 4th quarter and 19 points, Forward Braxton Key had a great game, ending the game with 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, along with 2 steals. Braxton Key continues to prove why he is a two-way player and a very important piece to this Cruise team. Jules Bernard highlighted the night for the cruise with a 22-point game, a season-high for Bernard. Two Way player, Buddy Boeheim sunk 7 threes on 13 attempts to finish the game with 21 points.

The Cruise were down by over 20 points at times during the 2nd half, but bounced back a little, outscoring the Bulls 39-29 in the 4th, though falling short.

Marko Simonovic had an amazing 15 rebounds to go with his 18 points to rack up a double-double for the Windy City Bulls. The Cruise fall to 13 losses with 3 wins on the year. The Cruise plays the Bulls 2 times in Chicago to finish the week out.
